Teenite : Armor of God

The game for this weeks Teenite and the message was a little muddled but I knew where I WANTED to go. My son wanted to give the message this week but then he hadn’t prepared and got nervous so He asked me to address victory. The idea in my mind made perfect sense but having half hour to plan left me with some gaps. SO even if this is not exactly how the message was delivered to you all on Monday, know this is what I meant and the scripture  and message STILL stands 🙂

The event:  Teen night … A time where we encourage the teens to minister one to another and make a difference in each others lives and our schools.

Object Lesson:  Cotton balls were stuck to the nose with Vaseline, the teens raced to blow as many cotton balls off their nose as they could.

The Message: Things in this world may try to blow you off course but you need to stick with it and stay on track. If something comes to sway you, pick yourself up and start again.

In order to stay on track, we must put on our armor of God…and NOT take it off. Keep walking with our armor, just as a soldier in battle would. We have the victory over the plan of the enemy and even if he tries to sway our course GOD EQUIPS us to do the work He has for us.

Scripture Reference:

Ephesians 6 :10-18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Challenge this day my friends : Take up the WHOLE armor of God. Walk boldly and confidently that you WILL complete His work He has for you. You will NOT give over to the enemy, you will not be swayed, but pick yourself up and stand on the word of God… YOU have the victory!

Philippians 4:13-

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
